Hey y’all! Like many of you, I’ve had a LOT of time on my hands due to the quarantine. I’ve been blessed to be able to transition all my work to remote and literally been in my bed ever since. Due to this, I figured why not test out a wash & go?! In my previous post I talked about my urge to try one again and I finally did!
First thing first, I did my wash & go in freshly co-washed hair. I used Aunt Jackie’s Coco Wash Coconut Milk Conditioning Cleanser for the first time and loved it! After co washing my hair, I dried it with a T-shirt and applied products. The two products I used are my two go to’s when I do twist outs: Miss Jessie’s: Pillow Soft Curls and Aunt Jackie’s Quench – Moisture Intensive Leave-In Conditioner. I did not brush out my hair with a comb brush like I typically do instead I opted in doing a finger detangle.
My overall thought after this experiment is, not to shabby! Going into this I was nervous because of what my first wash & go attempt turned out to be but this time I was shockingly impressed! My hair still got really big but this time I still had a curl pattern instead of a big puff. Would I try it agin? Probably when the weather breaks and we are allowed back outside but until then I’ll stick to my twist outs because I prefer the definition opposed to the volume that’s obtained with a wash & go (something I thought I’d never say).
What are your go to wash & go products? Any tips on making a wash & go last?
